Reflection on Last year John D
When I started in the Web Design academy I wasn't exactly sure of what I would learn. I had some prior knowledge of the programs like Photoshop thanks to computer fundamentals, but other than that it would be a new experience for me. My first year in the academy would be the Visual Design course. I learned many skills in Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, but mostly Photoshop. From advertisements to yearbooks and also business cards, all of these projects were things I honestly saw as crucial for a web designer since to be a web designer you must be able to promote yourself and show your work accordingly to a client. If I were to reflect on myself from last year I would have to say that I have progressed not only in skills as a web designer in training but also in creativity as a whole. Last year, I wouldn't have the skills necessary to work in Dreamweaver or Fireworks. The level I was at last year, I wouldn't have been able to make a rollover or hotspot or even work with text edit. Text edit was a program I dedicated a lot of time to ,but thanks to Dreamweaver I longer need Text Edit, especially if my html file is in split view. With all of this in mind, I do look towards next year. From what I know I am suppose to learn about JavaScript, it sounds interesting and I hope it is really fun.
